TECHNOLOGY

Inktegration™: The Future of Standardised Bioink Preparation

Inktegration™ is a patented mixing system for bioink preparation, designed to ensure sterile, precise, and reproducible bioink reconstitution. As an ideal reservoir for powder-based bioinks, Inktegration™ features a fully enclosed dual-syringe system that enables controlled hydration, homogeneous mixing, and precise concentration adjustment, eliminating manual variability and ensuring batch-to-batch consistency.

This standardised reconstitution process enhances bioink quality, printability, and reproducibility, making Inktegration™ a high-performance solution for bioprinting, tissue engineering, and regenerative research. By delivering uniformly rehydrated bioinks with optimised viscosity and controlled concentration, Inktegration™ ensures a ready-to-use, contamination-free biofabrication system, tailored for consistent and reliable experimental outcomes.

CollGel™: Tunable, ECM-Mimetic Bioinks for Regenerative Medicine Research

The CollGel™ Series is a family of collagen-based bioinks, designed to mimic the extracellular matrix (ECM) and support cell adhesion, proliferation, and differentiation. With its natural bioactivity and biocompatibility, CollGel™ provides an optimal foundation for biofabrication, tissue engineering, and regenerative medicine.

CollGel-01, the first bioink in this series, is a universal-use bioink formulated with type I neutral atelocollagen from medical-grade porcine sources, ensuring high purity and low immunogenicity. Its tunable concentration and adaptable formulation make it compatible with diverse bioprinting technologies and biofabrication strategies, establishing it as a versatile tool for cutting-edge research and future clinical applications.

RECONSTITUTION-BASED BIOINK

CollGel-01 is provided in a lyophilised powder form, ensuring long-term stability, sterility, and preserved bioactivity. This format eliminates the need for low-temperature storage, reducing contamination risks while enhancing handling and storage efficiency for researchers in tissue engineering, regenerative medicine, and 3D bioprinting.

Upon reconstitution, CollGel-01 undergoes natural fibrillogenesis, allowing it to self-assemble into a fibrillar hydrogel that closely mimics the native ECM. This process ensures optimal cell interaction and structural integrity, making it an ideal bioink for advanced biofabrication.

Packaged in a sterile, pre-filled syringe, CollGel-01 integrates seamlessly with the Inktegration™ closed-system, serving as both a carrier and reconstitution platform. This design guarantees freshly prepared bioink with batch-to-batch consistency, enhancing usability, reproducibility, and formulation flexibility for diverse bioprinting applications.

02

TUNABLE CONCENTRATION AND FORMULATION

The CollGel™ Series offers precise concentration tunability, allowing researchers to adjust mechanical properties to suit specific tissue types, biofabrication techniques, and stiffness requirements. By modifying the reconstitution ratio with PBS, culture medium, or water, users can fine-tune viscosity, gelation behaviour, and printability, making CollGel™ compatible with a wide range of bioprinting methods, including extrusion-based (direct writing), inkjet, and stereolithography (SLA) with GelMA-incorporated formulations.

At lower concentrations, CollGel™ forms soft, highly hydrated hydrogels, ideal for bioprinting delicate tissue structures that require high cell viability and efficient nutrient diffusion. As concentration increases, the hydrogel exhibits greater stiffness and viscosity, supporting the fabrication of stable and structurally defined scaffolds for various tissue engineering applications.

This formulation flexibility ensures optimal cell-material interactions, enabling the creation of biomimetic scaffolds for functional tissue development, in vitro models, and regenerative medicine research.

BIOMIMETIC EXCELLENCE

Collagen, the primary structural protein of the extracellular matrix (ECM), is the gold standard for bioinks. It provides a biocompatible microenvironment that supports cell adhesion, proliferation, and differentiation. The CollGel™ Series recreates this native ECM structure, enabling 3D cell growth in bioprinted tissues and in vitro models.

Formulated from medical-grade porcine Type I atelocollagen and produced in a GMP-compliant facility, CollGel™ ensures high purity, consistency, and reproducibility. It undergoes natural gelation under physiological conditions, including neutral pH, controlled collagen concentration, and ionic strength. Through self-assembly, it forms a fibrillar hydrogel, preserving ECM integrity without chemical crosslinkers.

With tunable mechanical properties, CollGel™ supports a wide range of biofabrication strategies. It enhances cell behaviour, scaffold integration, and long-term structural stability, making it an ideal bioink for tissue engineering, wound healing, cartilage repair, and organ biofabrication. It is driving the future of regenerative medicine.
